Mumma Review

After a Sunday morning walk around Kingston Beach, hubby, bub, and I stopped in at Citrus Moon on Kingston Beach Road for a bite to eat.  It was a beautiful sunny morning so we were able to sit in the enclosed courtyard behind the cafe, which is most easily accessed from the street, but can also be accessed through the cafe.  The courtyard is a great spot to sit with kids; it's enclosed, sheltered, has a few shady trees, and there is a great little grassy play area with toys, old cars to ride, a climbing frame, and a blackboard with chalk.

Enjoying a baby sized sample of mums smoothie
The cafe has a casual and relaxed atmosphere.  Most of the tables in the court yard were filled with families, most of whom we had passed along the way on our morning walk.  The kids all visited each others tables to check one another out before heading off for a little play together which was very cute.

The courtyard is a great spot for mums group get together's as long as the weather is fine.  The indoor section is not huge, so it would be a struggle to get more than 2-3 prams at a table.
I'll just poke my finger in here while they're distracted
I spotted heaps of high chairs dotted around the place, so its great for slightly older bubs who can go sans pram.  There used to be a great kids play area inside, but unfortunately that area has been replaced with computers for internet access.

The kids menu is super cute, I can't wait to go back when bub is old enough to choose from the goodies on offer on the "make-your-own plate".  Our food was pretty good too, there's a lot of your standard cafe fare, as well as some good vego options, and they use only free range eggs, chicken, bacon and ham.

I think Citrus Moon might be a favourite spot for us as the warmer months approach.  A coffee in the sunny courtyard while bub happily plays, or an ice cream after a day at the beach sounds like a good way to pass the time to me!
